Recently, depicted in Netflix’s This Is a Robbery: The World's Biggest Art Heist, a 2021 American documentary miniseries about the March 18, 1990 robbery of the Isabella Stewart Gardner. Empty frames still mark the places where the paintings once hung. Today, the museum's contemporary artist-in-residence program, courtyard garden displays, concerts, and innovative education programs continue Isabella Gardner's legacy.
